Diane Benussi

Diane is senior partner of Benussi & Co, a niche matrimonial law firm based in Birmingham, UK, but with clients around the world. Founded in 1993, the practice deals exclusively with divorce and family issues. Now listed in the top tier of the Legal 500, the UK’s leading client guide to the legal profession, Benussi & Co prides itself on providing the same level of service expected of top commercial firms. The 2000 edition of the Legal 500 described Diane thus: “...we single out Diane Benussi... widely recognised as the most active and respected family lawyer in the region.”

Born in Cornwall, Diane studied law at university before going into practice. In 1982 she set up a general law firm based in Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands.

She decided to specialise in family law partly because, having been through a divorce herself, she understood how difficult the process can be without a first-class sympathetic lawyer on your side.

Diane set up the West Midlands branch of the Solicitors Family Law Association, of which she was chairman for three years, and is a recent past president of the Birmingham Law Society. She is currently chairman of lobby group Birmingham Forward.

Diane lives in Birmingham and has two grown-up children and a granddaughter.
